The displacement transducers consists a hollow cylindrical former with primary and secondary winding of coils fixed and are opposite to each other. The coils are winded in an opposite direction i.e., if the right coil is in clockwise direction then the left coil will be winded in an anti- clockwise direction. Therefore, the net voltage output is the difference in voltage between the two secondary coils.</p>
<p>The linear variable displacement transducers have a variety of advantages in one hand. It is highly sensitive, results in high output with a good form of linearity. There is hardly any form of ruggedness during the application linear variable displacement transducers. Due to the less friction, and lower power consumption it proves to be very efficient machinery. The advantages are followed by some of the disadvantages of linear variable displacement transducers. For generation of high voltages a high displacement is required. Temperature is a crucial factor. Vibrations largely affect the performance of the transducers. Protection is required as the displacement transducer is sensitive to magnetic field.</p>
